FUEGO Tennis Academy - How it started from the very beginning...

Jordan Boecker moved to Houston, Texas in 2014 with his playing career in the rearview and searching for a new coaching position to call "home." With a Bachelors in Kinesiology/Exercise Science, Jordan started working for the USTA at Homer Ford Tennis Center, freelancing and giving private lessons on the side, and building connections in the Houston tennis community. In 2018 he accepted the Director of Tennis position at the Fairfield Athletic Club in Cypress, Texas. Working under John Holladay, a Houston tennis legend and former ATP top 150, Jordan helped create the FAC Tennis Academy in June 2018.

August 2023 - "The Spark" - Daniel Cruz was hired on as the Head Teaching Pro for the FAC Tennis Academy. Daniel was born and raised in the Cypress area and was highly competitive as a junior. He later played 4 years of NCAA college tennis at Concordia University and graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology/Exercise Science. Daniel also worked for Pine Forrest Country Club in Houston, and The Valley Tennis Academy in Mission, Texas. After getting settled in as the Head Pro for FAC Tennis Academy, it only took a few months for Daniel to prove his worth...

November 2023 - "Foundation Set" - FAC realizes that Daniel Cruz was the missing piece they were searching for - FAC Tennis Academy creates an Elite group and hits new records with enrollment. Daniel started travelling with the FAC top 3 students to every tournament in the Houston area and became the. He is extremely gifted, coaching skills and understanding of the game is incredible, while his ability to connect with the students cannot be matched. Over a few short months our top class grew from 6 players to 20 players as high caliber players around the area started pouring in. The Elite group was growing so fast we couldn't manage the number of students unless we hired another qualified coach.

April 2024 - "Explosive Boom" - James Martell was hired as an Elite Assistant Pro for the FAC Tennis Academy. James, 6'5" Lefty with an absolutely massive game, Doubles Texas Highschool 6A State Champion, ranked #1 in the country at the NJCAA level while playing at Tyler Junior College. He later transferred to play D1 tennis and contributed to 2 SEC Championships and an Elite 8 appearance while playing for Texas A&M University. With the addition of James Martell, Head Pro Daniel Cruz, the rapidly growing Elite group, the FAC Tennis Academy elevated its coaching staff to a higher level than expected at an unbelievable rate.
